Terraview, a start-up UAV company, had a bench-built prototype of a game-changing drone and sought assistance from a US Manufacturer to further develop the platform. Patton delivered value engineering services including design for manufacturability, integration of replacement flight control and avionics and developing US sources. Patton was able to upgrade the design and perform turnkey manufacturing of the platform for volume deployment.
Conceras, is a provider of IT consulting services to the Federal Government, specializing in cyber security and information assurance solutions. They invented game-changing solutions that enable users inside secure areas (SCIFs and SAPFs) to remotely access Smartphone devices (located outside of the SCIF) without compromising the physical and electronic security of the secured area. Conceras tapped Patton and Patton delivered full-scope product design, prototyping, and manufacturing services for the Tactus project.
I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Patton to bring the TACTUS platform from prototype to production—transforming a visionary concept into a scalable, secure communications solution trusted by federal stakeholders. Patton's leadership in precision manufacturing and ability to operationalize engineering designs gave us the ability to meet mission needs and production timelines. Their disciplined program management, rigorous quality controls, and trusted supply chain ensure that every unit built is deployment-ready for sensitive government environments. Patton is a strategic partner in national security innovation, helping us shape the future of secure mobility. – Tom, Chief Growth Officer
Thea had a bench prototype PCB and the idea to develop a wearable ring with sensors that would deliver biometric data providing interpreted feedback enabling users to detect, decode, and shift emotional states with real-time interventions. Patton’s design and manufacturing team joined forces with Thea’s internal developers to create a complete industrial design for the ring and charger system and manufactured low-rate initial production volumes.
Patton's technical development skills and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assistance were incredibly helpful for our project. We especially valued your hands-on, in-person guidance on specific areas where our team needed support, such as power management and flexible circuit design boards. We also greatly appreciated the ability to keep production local and manufacture our products in the USA.- Deric
Survice Engineering was seeking a local contract manufacturer to provide wire-harness and fabricated metal parts for its Tactical Resupply Vehicle (TRV) family of drones. Patton provided design consultation and manufacturing of many parts for the drone manufacturing operation located in Maryland.
It has been great to work with Patton. They have excellent customer service. The salesperson visits our operation on a regular basis and even hand delivers parts. We started having Patton do some sheet metal fabrication work for us. They suggested and implemented meaningful design improvements to the TRV payload basket assembly that enhances manufacturability and reliability. Patton recently started supplying several wire-harness assemblies for the program and we are looking at having Patton do some PCBA work for us.- Mark
The Potomac Development Group needed to develop modern, long-life, energy efficient LED replacement lights for specialized outdoor arch lighting systems that formed part of the architecture of the Howard Hughes Medical Centers. Patton was able to reverse engineer the legacy lights and design a new LED Module designed and manufactured to last a minimum of ten years.
We partnered with Patton for our lighting component needs and were thoroughly impressed by their product quality and reliability. The Patton team was responsive, knowledgeable, and the product was delivered on time. We highly recommend Patton for any project requiring custom electronics”.– Jennifer
Trinity Solutions was a West Virginia engineering firm serving the coal and metal mining industries. They needed to create communication links deep in coal mines. With limited access to cable, the only option was to couple data signals to existing three–phase power lines. Patton created requirements documents, developed and manufactured a product delivering high bandwidth, miles underground, using those power lines.
Navy (SPAWAR) – The Navy was developing the Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) to support both land-based and shipboard communications. They engaged Patton to develop a product to provide physical and electromagnetic survivability, resistance to jamming and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI)/Low Probability of Detection (LPD) capabilities against current and projected threats. Patton was able to provide a custom fiber solution to support secure communications for a fleet of mobile command centers.
Lockheed Martin was selected by the U.S. Air Force to develop, produce, and field a threat simulator for aircrew training called the Advanced Radar Threat System (ARTS-V2) program. Ground-based radar threat emitters are used to simulate advanced medium-range SAM missiles. Lockheed contracted with Patton for the development of a secure fiber optic isolation system to combine multiple communication signal types (Serial Data, C-Band RF, 10GBaseSR) with CWDM multiplexing. The TEMPEST design required that each signal type be internally isolated in separate compartments interconnected via milled waveguides.
The U.S. State Department, Diplomatic Security Service working with the Technical Support Working Group under CTTSO (now ITWSG) needed to develop a Multi-Streaming Video Server in support of intelligence collection and special operations directed against potential attacks on Very Important Persons (VIPs). CTTSO offered Patton an SBIR contract to design, develop and manufacture a special mobile platform to encrypt, GPS track, store, and stream live video and audio from moving vehicles back to a mobile command center.
US Department of State needed a fiber optic remote antenna extension for Exelis RO™ Tactical Radio Systems (Now L3 Harris). Patton’s solution placed the handset with data ports in a secure location with the radio located remotely, maximizing its signal strength, allowing the radio to access the Iridium network and be used in locations where it would otherwise not function.
Jumplights started in 2018 in the founder’s garage. He was studying, experimenting, and developing LED lighting systems specifically designed to facilitate indoor plant growth. They were searching for ways to stimulate higher crop yields and improve product quality. Still self-funded, but on the cusp of developing the first-generation product, JumpLights needed a little help and encouragement. Patton was able to come alongside and incubate the company by providing development space adjacent to our factory as well as delivering contract fabrication, assembly and manufacturing services.
We really appreciate what Patton did for JumpLights in our early days. Patton helped us with everything from building fabrication parts, doing SMT assembly of LED boards, building prototypes and even doing a photo shoot to support our marketing launch. We are happy to call Patton a partner.- Matteo
